The island of Spinalonga, was fortified in ancient times, probably during the Hellenistic period, with great fortified enclosure. On the ruins of ancient castle, the Venetians built a powerful fortress, which was designed in accordance with the practice of bastion fortification system by Genese Bressani and Latino Orsini.

Visit Spinalonga if you want something different visit the island. Travel back in time and just imagine the people who lived in island.

Πολύ ωραία διαδρομή με το καραβάκι, αλλά και το νησί ζωντανή ιστορία! Όταν κοιτάς από τη Σπιναλόγκα προς την Πλάκα συνειδητοποιείς πόσο κοντά και πόσο μακριά ήταν όσοι ήταν έγκλειστοι εκεί...
